MicroLaunch alternative

A MicroLaunch alternative with the same free entry and more surfaces

MicroLaunch and LetsLaunch are aiming at similar makers: small, indie, micro-SaaS products that would be lost on a general launch board. The differences are in the mechanics rather than the audience, and they are worth knowing before you pick one — or, more sensibly, both.

The short version: entry is free on both, and what we add is what happens to the listing after launch day.

  • Free to launch, with no queue and no editorial review
  • A dofollow link earned through a reciprocal badge
  • Category boards, directory views, compare and alternatives pages
  • Every page mirrored as plain Markdown for AI crawlers

What MicroLaunch is

MicroLaunch is a compact launch board aimed at small indie and micro-SaaS products. Makers post to a daily leaderboard and the community votes. The scale is modest by design — a few hundred products, and around a thousand daily visitors when we last checked — which suits a small tool better than a general board would. Pro launches and sponsorships are offered as paid upgrades alongside the standard listing.

Exact prices for those upgrades were not confirmed when we researched the index, and we have not guessed at them here.

LetsLaunch vs MicroLaunch

Mechanics, side by side. Everything in the MicroLaunch column comes from their own pricing and submission pages; where we could not confirm something, the cell says so.

The rule: a published listing has 24 hours from launch to collect 5 qualifying upvotes. Clear it and the listing and its followed link are permanent. Miss it and the listing is hidden from browse and its outbound link drops to nofollow — nothing is deleted, and you get one free relaunch. While LetsLaunch is still building up daily volume this rule is paused, so no listing is currently removed for missing the threshold.

What their outbound link actually does

Not a claim — a fetch, with the page we read it from.

We confirmed a followed outbound link on MicroLaunch.

We fetched a real listing page on microlaunch.net and read the rel attribute on its outbound link, rather than repeating what their marketing says. Last checked September 1, 2026.

Which one should you use?

Choose LetsLaunch if…

  • You want the listing to keep surfacing through category and directory pages
  • You want the link rules written down and the badge requirement explicit
  • You care about how the page reads to an AI crawler, not just a human
  • You want live analytics on votes, views and outbound clicks

Choose MicroLaunch if…

  • Their small, focused indie audience is exactly who you want in front of
  • You prefer a simple daily leaderboard with no threshold to clear
  • You want a second board the same week — these two do not conflict
  • You are launching something very small and want a low-pressure debut

For most products these are not mutually exclusive. Launch week has room for more than one board, and neither platform asks for exclusivity.

Small launch boards are worth stacking

Nobody should treat small launch boards as competing options. A micro-SaaS launch that lands on three of them in the same week gets three indexed pages, three sets of links, and three small audiences — which together is more than any single one of them provides.

What differs is what each listing is worth six months later. A leaderboard entry with no page-level structure is worth roughly the traffic it sent on the day. A page with structured data, a machine-readable mirror, category placement and inbound internal links keeps returning something. That is the axis this platform is built on rather than daily traffic, where a small board with a loyal audience may well beat us.

The one thing to check on any small board, including this one, is whether the listing is indexable at all and whether the outbound link is followed. Both take a minute: search for one of their listings in Google, then view source and read the rel attribute. We ran that check across the field and published the results.

The bar here is 5 upvotes in 24 hours, which for a genuinely small product is the part to think about before submitting. It is deliberately low, but it is not zero, and paying does not remove it.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a direct MicroLaunch replacement?
Not exactly, and it does not need to be. Both are free to enter and aimed at small products. This one adds a badge-gated publish, a vote threshold for staying listed, and a set of category and directory pages that keep linking to your listing afterwards.
Can I launch on both?
Yes, and for a small product that is the sensible plan. There is no exclusivity here and no penalty for having launched elsewhere first.
Is my product too small to launch here?
Almost certainly not. The threshold is 5 qualifying upvotes in 24 hours, which a genuinely useful small tool with a handful of users clears. It is low on purpose; it is just not zero.
Do you have paid upgrades?
Yes, and every price is published. They buy placement and freedom from badge maintenance. They do not buy a followed link, a board position, or survival.
