Product Hunt alternative
Product Hunt is the biggest single-day launch audience there is, and nothing here is going to replace that. The reason founders look for an alternative is almost never the audience — it is that the daily leaderboard resets at midnight and the traffic goes with it.
LetsLaunch is built for the other half of the job: a page that keeps working, a followed link you earned, and no calendar to book.
Product Hunt is the default launch destination for consumer and B2B software. It runs a daily leaderboard that resets at midnight Pacific; makers submit a product, gather upvotes and comments over twenty-four hours, and the day's top finishers pick up newsletter and social distribution. Launching is free, and even a mid-table finish leaves behind a permanent product page.
It is a peer, not a partner, and this page is not an attempt to talk you out of launching there. For most products the right answer is to do both in the same week.
Mechanics, side by side. Everything in the Product Hunt column comes from their own pricing and submission pages; where we could not confirm something, the cell says so.
| LetsLaunch | Product Hunt | |
|---|---|---|
| Launch model | Publish on a badge check, onto the current week's board | Daily leaderboard that resets at midnight PT |
| Cost to launch | Free, permanently. Paid tiers add placement and remove badge upkeep. | Free |
| Scheduling | None — you control timing by controlling the badge | Pick a launch date in advance |
| Publishing gate | Automatic. A reciprocal badge on your own site publishes the listing — no editor, no queue. | Self-serve, with platform moderation |
| Outbound link | Dofollow while the badge is installed; permanent on Premium. Never sold. | See the link check below — measured, not asserted |
| Staying listed | 5 upvotes in 24 hours or the listing is hidden from browse, with one free relaunch. | Product page is permanent regardless of result |
| After launch day | Weekly board, permanent week archive, category boards, directory views, compare and alternatives pages. | Permanent product page; visibility concentrated on the day |
| Audience | Founders and builders browsing new SaaS, AI and dev tools | The largest general maker and early-adopter audience |
| Paid placement | Labelled and rendered separately from the organic board. They cannot move a listing up it. | Promotional options exist on the platform |
The rule: a published listing has 24 hours from launch to collect 5 qualifying upvotes. Clear it and the listing and its followed link are permanent. Miss it and the listing is hidden from browse and its outbound link drops to nofollow — nothing is deleted, and you get one free relaunch. While LetsLaunch is still building up daily volume this rule is paused, so no listing is currently removed for missing the threshold.
Not a claim — a fetch, with the page we read it from.
We could not confirm the outbound link type on Product Hunt.
We fetched a real listing page on producthunt.com and read the rel attribute on its outbound link, rather than repeating what their marketing says. Last checked September 1, 2026.

For most products these are not mutually exclusive. Launch week has room for more than one board, and neither platform asks for exclusivity.
Searches for a Product Hunt alternative usually mean one of three things: a second spike, a more specific audience, or something that lasts. Only the first is really a substitute, and no site currently offers a comparable one — pretending otherwise would be the easiest claim on this page to disprove.
The second and third are where a different platform genuinely helps. A launch here lands on a dated weekly board that is archived permanently, then keeps surfacing through category boards, the directory views, and comparison and alternatives pages generated from the catalogue. Those are internal links to your page from surfaces that rank on their own.
And the link. Ours is dofollow while a reciprocal badge is installed on your site, and permanent on Premium. We do not assert anything about anyone else's — we check it, and the result of that check on LetsLaunch appears further down this page with the date and the listing we read it from.
The realistic plan for a launch week is not either/or. Launch on Product Hunt for the day, list here the same week so the indexed page and the followed link start ageing, then work through the directories where you have personally verified the link is followed.
Same week, no calendar, no queue. The page and the link outlast the spike.
