As published by Beautiful Photos — verify anything time-sensitive on their site.
Is it free? Are there any ads or subscriptions?
Yes, it is 100% free with no hidden fees, paid tiers, or sponsored ads. Our goal is to provide a clean, distraction-free environment without commercial clutter.
Will this slow down opening new tabs?
No. We use smart background prefetching and caching, so each new photo and interface element loads instantly with zero lag.
Where do the photos come from, and are creators credited?
All photos are carefully curated high-resolution landscapes from Unsplash. Every photo includes direct attribution and a link to the photographer's profile.
Does the extension track my browsing history or collect personal data?
No. We respect your privacy. The extension does not track your browsing activity, collect personal data, or sell information to third parties.
Can I customize what appears on the screen?
Yes. You can easily toggle the clock (12h/24h), search bar, inspirational quotes, and photographer details, or hide everything for a completely minimal look.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Previously cached photos remain available, so you'll still see a beautiful background even without an active internet connection.
