Overview
- Who is it for?
- Developers and teams needing to communicate UI changes and bugs clearly.
- Problem
- Teams often struggle to convey complex UI issues and feedback effectively to coding agents.
- Solution
- Clipy addresses this by allowing users to record their screen and provide a narrated explanation, which coding agents can then access as a summary and transcript.
- What makes it unique
- Clipy stands out by offering agent-readable recordings that include summaries and transcripts, making it easier for coding agents to understand the context without replaying the entire video.

What is Clipy for?
Clipy is a screen recorder for coding agents. Use it to show a UI bug, explain a design change, or walk through client feedback. Your team gets a playable video; a connected coding agent can retrieve the recording’s available narration and visual context.
How do I use a recording with Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex?
Follow the agent setup guide once, then paste a normal Clipy video link into your agent session. Wait for processing and ask the agent to summarize the requested change and any missing evidence before it edits your code.
What context does my coding agent receive?
Depending on what was captured and processed, context can include a summary, timestamped narration, relevant frames, and pointer or interaction evidence. Microphone, system audio, and pointer capture depend on your recorder, browser, and selected source.
Do I need a credit card to use the free plan?
No. You sign in with Google and record. Your seven-day trial starts at signup. No card is collected and you will not be charged automatically.
What happens to my recordings when I hit the free limit?
Nothing happens to them. Every recording you have already made stays playable, shareable, and downloadable, permanently, and we never retroactively watermark or lock anything.
